Across the South and Southwest, candidates and their campaigns have begun to realize the need to populate their operations with those who reflect the broad spectrum of diversity. Recent results show the value of investing in people of color in the campaign staff structure - but this investment must be broad-based and deep. Yet, too often, campaign staff of color are underrepresented, underpaid, and undertrained.
We recruit highly qualified trainees through community and activist organizations throughout the South and Southwestern portion of the United States.
Our rigorous curriculum offers deep insight and training on campaign management and policy with an intentional focus on sociological systems of thought, race, and culture.
BLUE Institute trained alumni leave ready to lead aggressive and inclusive issue and electoral campaigns across local, state and national races.
We uplift the communities we serve through our electoral work by embedding our alum in progressive campaigns that leave communities more empowered and politically engaged.
